Terms of Use and Risk Disclosure

These terms govern your use of WakeTrades: the website, the app, the Telegram bot and the API. Please read them, and the risk disclosure in section 10, before you sign your trading key.

Version 2026-10-15 · In force since October 15, 2026

The Short Version

  • WakeTrades is software. It copies the Hyperliquid traders you choose onto your own Hyperliquid account.
  • Your funds stay on your Hyperliquid account. We never hold them.
  • You approve a trading key. It can place and close orders on your account. It can't withdraw your funds or send them anywhere.
  • Copying leveraged trades is very risky. You can lose all the money on your Hyperliquid account.
  • You choose your traders. We give no investment advice.
  • WakeTrades is not available to Restricted Persons, including people in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom (section 3).
  • You pay a fixed price in USDC. We take no fee on your trades and no share of your profits. No refund after payment, except if we stop the service or suspend you without fault on your part (section 16).
  • You may use an AI agent. You are responsible for what it does (section 13).

1. Who We Are

WakeTrades is operated by its founder, an individual acting in their own name and not through a company. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of WakeTrades. "You" means the person who uses WakeTrades, directly or through an agent.

Contact: support@waketrades.com. Our only official website is waketrades.com. Our only official Telegram bot is @wakeTrades_bot.

2. Accepting These Terms

You accept these terms when you sign your trading key: on the site, a line right under the signature button says so; through the API, your agent accepts them by sending tosAccepted: true. We record the date and time, the version of these terms and the country detected from your internet (IP) address. If you don't accept these terms, don't use WakeTrades.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

3. Who Can Use WakeTrades

You can use WakeTrades only if all of the following are true:

  • you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if it is higher, and legally able to accept these terms;
  • you are not a Restricted Person;
  • you are allowed to use Hyperliquid under its own terms and under the laws that apply to you;
  • you use your own wallet and your own Hyperliquid account.

Restricted Persons. You are a Restricted Person if any of the following applies to you, or to anyone on whose behalf you act:

  • you reside in, are located in, or are incorporated or registered in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, Ukraine or Venezuela;
  • you reside in, are located in, or are incorporated or registered in a country or territory under comprehensive sanctions ("Restricted Territories"). Today these are Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Russia. The list may change with sanctions; we may update it at any time;
  • you are a citizen of a Restricted Territory, wherever you live;
  • you are the subject or target of sanctions of the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States, or you appear on a government list of restricted or prohibited parties.

Each time you use WakeTrades (site, bot, API or MCP), you confirm that you are not a Restricted Person and that you don't act for one. If that changes, you must stop using WakeTrades. You must not use a VPN, a proxy or any other method to hide your location or to get around these restrictions.

How we enforce it. These restrictions are part of your agreement with us. We don't filter by location today, but we record the country detected when you accept these terms (section 2) and may, at any time and without notice, refuse actions from restricted locations: our site then shows a notice and nothing can be changed, and the API answers 451 geo_blocked. If we find or suspect that you are a Restricted Person, or that your use is unauthorized, deceptive, fraudulent or unlawful, we may suspend or close your access without notice (section 18). A Restricted Person whose access is closed gets no refund (section 16).

4. What WakeTrades Is, and What It Isn't

WakeTrades is a software tool. It:

  • reads the public positions of the Hyperliquid traders you choose (your "leaders");
  • copies their new positions onto your Hyperliquid account, following the exposure level you choose;
  • tells you about each move through our Telegram bot or your webhook;
  • publishes statistics on Hyperliquid traders, including a monthly report.

WakeTrades doesn't:

  • hold, receive or control your funds;
  • choose leaders for you;
  • take a share of your profits: you pay a fixed price that doesn't depend on your results;
  • give personal investment, financial, legal or tax advice.

We are not a broker, an exchange, a custodian or an investment adviser, and we don't claim any license or registration as one.

5. Your Funds Stay on Your Account

  • We never ask you to deposit funds with us, and we never create a wallet for you.
  • We never ask for your secret recovery phrase or your wallet's private key. If anyone asks for them in our name, it is a scam.
  • Hyperliquid is an independent platform. We don't operate or control it, and we are not affiliated with it. Hyperliquid's own terms apply to your use of Hyperliquid.

6. The Trading Key

6.1 What It Is

To copy trades, we need permission to place orders on your Hyperliquid account. Hyperliquid allows this with an "API wallet", also called an "agent". We call it the trading key. We create it on our servers and show you its public address. You approve it by signing a request with your wallet; approval costs nothing. We then check with Hyperliquid that your approval is recorded. We store the trading key encrypted and never show it to anyone, you included.

6.2 What It Can and Can't Do

The trading key can The trading key can't
Open, reduce and close positions on your account Withdraw your funds from Hyperliquid
Place and cancel orders, including stop-loss and take-profit orders Send your funds to another address
Change the leverage and margin mode of a market on your account

These limits are set by Hyperliquid, not by us. We use the trading key only to carry out your settings and your instructions. If someone stole it, they could place losing trades on your account, but they couldn't withdraw your funds (section 10).

6.3 How Long It Lasts

The trading key is valid for up to 180 days, the maximum Hyperliquid allows. During the last 30 days, we remind you to sign a new one. When it expires, copying stops completely: we can no longer open, close or protect any position. Stops already placed on Hyperliquid stay there. You manage your positions yourself, or sign a new key.

6.4 Revoking It

You can revoke the trading key at any time on Hyperliquid › API, where it is named WakeTrades. We then can't place or cancel any order on your account, including closing your copies. Your open positions and the orders already on Hyperliquid stay as they are. To stop copying while keeping your copies managed, use Pause instead (section 9).

7. How Copying Works

7.1 Your Leaders

  • You choose your leaders by their public Hyperliquid address. We follow up to 3 of them (5 on Advanced); extra ones wait. On Risky, we strongly recommend at least 2.
  • We refuse an address that doesn't exist on Hyperliquid. We may warn you about a leader, for example one that trades like a bot. You can still copy them.
  • Hyperliquid allows only one position per market on an account. If two leaders open the same market, the first one we detect takes it.
  • We don't tell leaders who copies them.

7.2 What We Copy

  • We check your leaders' positions about every 30 seconds.
  • We copy only positions a leader opens after you start following them. Positions opened while your copying is paused, or after your trial or plan has ended, are not copied later.
  • We copy perpetual contracts on Hyperliquid's main market and on the stock, index and commodity markets of trade.xyz (these need a Hyperliquid Unified Account). We don't copy spot trades or other markets.
  • We copy openings, additions, reductions and closings, in proportion to the leader. On Advanced, you can turn additions off.
  • When a leader sets a take profit or a stop loss, your copy gets the same price. Each take profit covers the same share of your copy as of the leader's position. On Advanced, you can turn this off.
  • Copied entries are limit orders by default: an order at the leader's entry price. If it isn't filled within 1 minute, the copy opens at market, unless the price has moved more than 1% from the leader's entry; if the leader exits first, nothing is copied. You can choose market orders instead. Closings are market orders.

7.3 When a Copy Is Skipped

A copy can be skipped. No order is then placed, and you can see why in your orders. The main reasons: the price is more than 1% away from the leader's entry; the order would be too small for Hyperliquid; the order didn't fill; your account already holds that market; your level's limit is reached (total size, or the number of positions you set on Advanced); the market is not allowed at your level; the market needs a Unified Account; your account has no funds; copying is paused or your trial or plan has ended; a safety limit applies (section 7.5).

7.4 Your Whole Account Counts

  • Copies are placed on the Hyperliquid account of the wallet you connected, next to any position you open yourself.
  • At Prudent, Balanced and Risky, copying needs a Hyperliquid Unified Account in cross margin (at Advanced, only the stock, index and commodity markets need one). Don't open positions yourself on it: they count toward your level's limits, and your real exposure can't be known.
  • In cross margin, positions share the same margin: a loss on one position, including one you opened yourself, can lead to the liquidation of others.
  • To copy a trade, we may change the leverage and margin mode of that market on your account, which also applies to your own trades there.

To keep copying apart from your own trading, use a separate wallet and Hyperliquid account for WakeTrades.

7.5 Safety Limits

To protect you against an error on our side, no copy can be larger than the rule of its level allows for your balance, plus a 10% margin. An order above this limit is reduced or skipped. These limits reduce, but do not remove, the effect of a bug: our software can have bugs, and you should be aware of it before you start. We may change these limits and will say so on the site.

7.6 Delays and Prices

A copy is placed up to about 30 seconds after the leader's move, plus the time needed to send the order. Your prices and results will differ from the leader's, and can be worse.

8. The Four Exposure Levels

You choose one level. It applies to every new copy; open copies keep the rules they were opened with. No level prevents liquidation.

Prudent Balanced Risky Advanced
Size of your copies 25% of your leaders' trades across 3 leaders (1/12 per leader), scaled to your balance 50% across 3 leaders (1/6 per leader), scaled to your balance 100% across 3 leaders (1/3 per leader), scaled to your balance The size you set (Risky's by default)
Leaders you follow Up to 3 Up to 3 Up to 3 (2+ recommended) Up to 5
Positions open at once No fixed number No fixed number No fixed number No fixed number, or the maximum you set
Total size of your positions Up to 3× your balance Up to 10× your balance Up to 20× your balance 20× by default, the cap you set, or none
Stop on each position None of its own None of its own None of its own None of its own
Leader's stop loss Copied Copied Copied Copied, unless you turn it off
Leader's take profit Copied Copied Copied Copied, unless you turn it off
Leader adds to a position Copied Copied Copied Copied, unless you turn it off
Drawdown alert, from your account's highest balance −8% (heads-up at −6%) −20% (heads-up at −15%) −30% and −50% (information) The thresholds you set (−30% and −50% by default)
Automatic pause or stop None None None Optional automatic stop at the drawdown you set
Markets capped below 10× leverage Copied Copied Copied Copied
Plan Any, free trial included Any, free trial included Any, free trial included Any, free trial included

Scaled to your balance: if your balance is 1% of your leader's, Prudent copies 1/12 of 1% of each of their positions, Balanced 1/6 of 1%, and Risky 1/3 of 1%. The size is set per leader: following fewer than 3 leaders lowers your exposure, it never concentrates it. A copy below Hyperliquid's minimum order opens at 11 USDC instead of being skipped, so on a small balance it can be larger than your level's share. Leverage: copies are opened in cross margin and we set the coin's maximum leverage, because your gain, your loss and your liquidation price depend on the size of the position, not on this setting.

  • Stops. WakeTrades places no stop of its own, except the ones you choose at Advanced: the automatic stop of your account, your own stop on each copy, and your own take profits and stop loss on each copy. When your leader has a stop loss or take profit, we place the same one on your copy, at your size. A triggered stop is a market order: in a fast market it can fill at a worse price than the stop.
  • Drawdown alerts. When your balance falls from its highest level past your level's threshold, we alert you by Telegram, on the dashboard or by webhook, with one-tap actions: close losing positions, close all, pause new copies, or do nothing. An alert never pauses copying or closes a position by itself. Deposits and withdrawals change your balance and so this check.
  • Without a leader stop. At every level, a copy whose leader has no stop loss closes when the leader closes, when you close it, or when Hyperliquid liquidates it.
  • Risky. Copies at the full size of your leaders (at least 2 leaders strongly recommended), up to 20× your balance and no automatic pause. Above 10,000 USDC of balance, you must confirm that you understand. Only use money you can afford to lose.
  • Advanced. Open with any plan, free trial included. It starts with Risky's settings, and every setting you change is your own choice and your own responsibility. The optional automatic stop closes every copy at market and pauses copying when your balance falls by the drawdown you set; in a fast market, the loss can be larger.
  • Previews. Figures shown before you choose (sizes, distance to liquidation, share of trades too small to copy) are estimates, not promises.

9. Your Controls

  • Pause. No new copies. Open copies stay managed: their stops stay, and they close when your leader closes.
  • Resume. Copying restarts if your trial or plan is valid. Through the API, an alert channel must also be linked.
  • Close one copy or Close everything. We close the copies at market; Close everything then pauses copying. Positions you opened yourself are not touched. Closing at market can give a worse price than expected. If a position can't be closed right away, we keep retrying and tell you.
  • If you trade a copied position yourself. You stay in control of your account. If you change or close a copied position on Hyperliquid, we stop following it, remove our stop on it and tell you. From then on, that position is yours to manage.

10. Risk Disclosure

Copying leveraged perpetual contracts is very high risk. Only use money you can afford to lose entirely.

  • You can lose all your money. Losses can be fast and reach the full balance of your Hyperliquid account. No level, setting or stop prevents this.
  • Leverage and liquidation. Leverage multiplies gains and losses. Hyperliquid closes positions under its own rules (liquidation, and sometimes automatic deleveraging).
  • Your leader can lose. Leaders are independent traders. We don't control, check or endorse them. They can make bad trades, change style, stop trading or act against the people who copy them. Past results don't predict future results.
  • Delays and differences. Copies come after the leader, at different prices; some don't fill or are skipped. Your results can be worse than the leader's.
  • Stops and exits can fail. Stops fill at market and can slip. A closing order can fail to fill, and a copy can stay open after the leader has exited. Check your positions on Hyperliquid.
  • Fees and funding. Hyperliquid charges trading fees and funding on every copy. You pay them.
  • Hyperliquid risk. Hyperliquid can be slow or unavailable, change its rules, delist markets, or suffer failures or attacks. Funds you keep there are exposed to these risks.
  • Stock, index and commodity markets. They may not trade when the underlying market is closed, can have thin order books, and their prices can move within limits set by the market.
  • Our service can fail. Our software can have bugs, and our hosting provider and Telegram can be down. While we are down, no copies are opened and exits are not copied. Stops already on Hyperliquid keep working without us.
  • Alerts can be late or missing. Don't rely only on our messages. Check your account on Hyperliquid.
  • Trading key risk. We store your trading key encrypted, but no system is perfectly secure. If you have any doubt, revoke it on Hyperliquid.
  • Fake sites and bots. Only use waketrades.com and @wakeTrades_bot. Read every signature request before you sign.
  • Data and estimates. Leader statistics, the monthly report and previews can be out of date, incomplete or wrong.
  • Crypto markets. Crypto-asset prices are very volatile, can fall to zero, can be manipulated and can become hard to trade.
  • Legal and tax risk. Laws on crypto-assets and copy trading change. A change may limit or end WakeTrades in your country or everywhere. You are responsible for your own taxes.
  • No guarantee. We don't guarantee any profit or result, or that the service will work without interruption.

11. Leader Data and the Monthly Report

Leader pages are built from public Hyperliquid data. The monthly report, included with paid plans, lists Hyperliquid traders for each exposure level based on their past performance. All of this is statistics on public data. None of it is investment advice or a recommendation to copy a trader. You choose your leaders, and you are responsible for that choice.

12. Alerts: Telegram or a Webhook

  • On the site, Telegram is optional: you can skip it at the last setup step and copying starts, with alerts on the site only. Copying also continues if you disconnect Telegram later.
  • Through the API, an agent links an alert channel to start copying: a Telegram account, with a one-time link valid for 15 minutes, or a webhook, an HTTPS address of yours that receives signed alerts (meant for software and AI agents). Copying pauses if you remove your webhook while no Telegram is linked; open copies stay managed.
  • You can mute position alerts. Alerts that need action from you are always sent: drawdown alerts, automatic stop, trial and plan ending, trading key expiring or invalid, errors.
  • Anyone who controls your Telegram account can use the bot to pause, close your copies, and change your leaders and your level. Protect your Telegram account, for example with two-step verification.
  • A webhook receives each alert once, signed with a secret shown to you once. Keep it safe: anyone who has it can send fake alerts to your system.
  • Telegram is a third-party service. We are not responsible for its outages, or for alerts that arrive late, don't arrive or aren't processed.

13. AI Agents and Automated Access

  • You may use software or an AI agent ("your agent") to use WakeTrades for you through our public API.
  • Your agent acts for the owner of the wallet it signs with. Everything it does with that wallet binds that owner as if the owner had done it: signing in, choosing leaders and an exposure level, signing the trading key, accepting these terms, confirming a risk warning, paying, pausing and closing.
  • You are responsible for your agent: its instructions and settings, its decisions and errors, and the security of its wallet and of its webhook secret. We are not responsible for losses caused by your agent.
  • These terms apply to your agent in full, including section 3. An agent hosted in a restricted location may be refused, based on the request's IP address, even if you live elsewhere. Don't let an agent act for a person who may not use WakeTrades.
  • Use only the public API, within its limits. Don't overload it or create several accounts, for example to get more than one free trial. We may limit or block an agent that harms the service or other users, or breaks these terms.
  • Keep your session token and webhook secret private. We never ask for a private key or a seed phrase. Trying to get around our limits, to exploit a flaw, or to use someone else's key, session or account leads to immediate suspension (section 18).

14. Free Trial

  • The trial lasts 14 days, with real copying and no payment. It starts at the last setup step: when your first alert channel is linked or, on the site, when you skip Telegram.
  • We remind you 3 days and 1 day before it ends. When it ends without payment, no new copies are opened; open copies stay managed until they close.
  • One trial per wallet address, per Telegram account and per webhook host, even after deleting your account.

15. Plans and Payment

  • Plans. 1, 3 or 6 months. Six months is the maximum, because a trading key lasts at most 180 days.
  • Price. The price is the one shown when you pay. Founder prices (50% off the regular prices) are open to a limited number of the first activated accounts and can close without notice. An account keeps them as long as it renews before its plan ends; if a paid plan ends without renewal, the regular prices apply to its next payments. The end of the free trial is not an interruption. We may change prices for future payments; a change never affects a plan already paid.
  • How to pay. In USDC, by an internal Hyperliquid transfer from your perps or spot balance to our receiving account, signed with your wallet on the site or by your agent through the API. Always check that you are on waketrades.com.
  • Start and length. Your plan is applied as soon as Hyperliquid accepts the transfer. It lasts the number of calendar months you paid. A plan paid during the free trial starts when the trial ends. A payment made before your plan ends extends it; two payments both count.
  • No automatic renewal. Nothing is ever charged without your signature. The trading key can't transfer funds.
  • Payment errors. A transfer that matches no plan is refunded on request to support@waketrades.com, with the transaction identifier.
  • Fees and taxes. Any Hyperliquid fee on the transfer and any tax due on your purchase are yours.
  • No fee on your trades. We take no fee per trade and no share of profits.

16. Refunds

The free trial lets you test WakeTrades before paying. A paid plan is not refunded, except: if we stop the service, or suspend you without fault on your part, we refund the full months left on your plan; and payment errors are handled as in section 15. Deleting your account ends a paid plan without refund. This doesn't limit any refund right that the law gives you and that can't be waived. A Restricted Person (section 3) whose access is closed gets no refund.

17. When Your Trial or Plan Ends

No new copies are opened. Open copies stay managed until they close: stops, and your leaders' reductions and exits. We use the trading key only for that. You can pay again at any time; copying restarts once the payment is applied.

18. Suspension, Account Deletion and End of the Service

By you. You can stop at any time: Pause, Close everything, or revoke the trading key on Hyperliquid. You can also delete your account from your profile. Each copied position must first have your own stop on Hyperliquid, or be closed, because nobody manages it afterwards. Copying then stops for good and your WakeTrades data is erased, except payment records and what we must keep to enforce section 3 and the one-trial rule.

By us, for everyone. If we detect a problem (a bug, a Hyperliquid incident, a security incident), we may pause new copies for everyone, with open copies still managed, or stop all orders for everyone, leaving your positions as they are on Hyperliquid. We will tell you through your alert channel.

By us, for you. We may suspend or close your access if you are not eligible (section 3), if you break these terms, if you abuse or attack the service, or if the law requires it. We may suspend your access without notice while we look into activity that appears unauthorized, fraudulent or unlawful.

End of the service. We may stop offering WakeTrades. We will give you 30 days' notice through your alert channel, except in an emergency, and refund the full months left on your plan.

19. Your Responsibilities

  • Keep your wallet, your secret recovery phrase, your Telegram account and your webhook secret secure.
  • Read every signature request before you sign it.
  • Watch your account. Hyperliquid's records are the reference for your positions and balances.
  • Follow the laws that apply to you and pay your own taxes.
  • Don't overload, attack or misuse the service, for example with mass requests or mass sign-ups.

20. Our Content

The software, the site, the texts, the leader pages and the monthly report belong to us. You may use them for your own needs while you have access. You may not resell or republish them.

21. No Warranty

To the extent the law allows, WakeTrades is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for trading losses, including losses caused by a leader's trades, delays, skipped copies, orders that don't fill, stop slippage, liquidations, your agent, or failures of Hyperliquid, Telegram, our hosting provider or your wallet;
  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data;
  • our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and 100 USD.

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

23. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover us and our service providers against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or of the law, or from the use of your wallet, your Telegram account, your webhook or your agent by someone you allowed or through your fault.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may change these terms. We will tell you through your alert channel and on the site at least 14 days before a change that affects you takes effect. For an important change, we will ask you to accept the new version before copying continues. The version and date are shown at the top of this page.

25. Disputes

If you have a problem, write to support@waketrades.com first. We will try to solve it with you within 30 days.

To the extent the law that applies to you allows, any dispute we can't solve together is settled by individual, binding arbitration, conducted online and in English, by a single arbitrator who decides according to these terms. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class or collective action. Nothing in this section prevents you from using a small-claims court, or removes a protection that the consumer law of your country gives you and that can't be waived.

26. Language

These terms are written in English. Translations may be provided for convenience. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
