# Copy Your Own Hyperliquid Accounts

> Mirror one Hyperliquid account onto another with WakeTrades. Your main account trades; a second account copies each new position at its own size, with stops and take profits copied.

A leader can be any Hyperliquid address, including one of yours.

## Why Copy Your Own Account?

- **Keep a second account in sync** without placing every order twice.
- **Run the same trades at another size**, smaller or larger.
- **Keep your stops and take profits**: the ones you set on your main account are copied, at the copying account's size.

## How Do I Set It Up?

1. Connect the wallet of the account that copies. See [Connect Your Wallet](https://waketrades.com/docs/getting-started/connect-wallet.md).
2. Choose an [exposure level](https://waketrades.com/docs/leaders/risk-levels.md).
3. Paste the address of your main account as the leader, in place of the suggested trader.
4. Sign the trading key on the copying account. Linking Telegram is optional, for alerts on your phone.

## Does WakeTrades Touch My Main Account?

No. WakeTrades only reads its public positions, and nothing is signed on it. The trading key sits on the copying account: it can trade but never withdraw.

## What Should I Expect?

| Topic | Details |
| --- | --- |
| What is copied | New positions opened on the main account after you start, then their reductions and closes. |
| Size | Scaled to the ratio between the two balances, then to your level: Prudent copies 1/12, Balanced 1/6, Risky 1/3 (2 leaders or more recommended), Advanced the size you set. |
| Delay | About 30 seconds at most. A trade whose price already moved more than 1% is skipped. |
| Funds | Each account keeps its own USDC on Hyperliquid. |
| Plan | Each copying account has its own plan. With a 3-month plan your Telegram can follow 2 wallets, up to 5 with the 6-month plan. |
| Manual trades | Don't open positions by hand on the copying account: they count toward your level's limits, and your real exposure becomes unknown. Hyperliquid allows one position per coin and per account. |
